Marian Jacobsen
Marian Jacobsen is the owner of Distinctive Decor and Design LLC located in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey serving the South Brunswick Township, surrounding Princeton area and Central NJ vicinities. Working with local realtors, builders and homeowners, she offers expert home staging and interior redesign services for her clients whether they need help selling their house or moving in and decorating their new home.
Throughout her life, Marian has always had a love of art and design. Her artistic background spans 20 plus years and covers many areas, working at a fine art gallery, also as a graphic designer and painter at her own art studio as well as a fabric and interior decorating shop. Having an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for interior design, she decided to start her own business. Marian's sense of color, harmony and balance is evident in the transformed interiors designed for her clients. Marian works with many preferred contractors, artisans and home decor suppliers to assist her clients in completing their home makeover projects in a timely manner. When staging homes, Marian will update the home with the right look to target the specific buyer demographic as with lifestyle merchandising. Marian also offers her clients organizing services such as downsizing and moving transition assistance with selling or donating items. As an interior redesigner, Marian incorporates many existing pieces that a client may want to use in the new design and comes up with creative organizing solutions for smaller spaces.
Marian graduated Monmouth University with a B.A. in Fine Arts and has studied interior decorating at the Sheffield School of Interior Design. She is a certified Home Stager and Redesigner through the Home Staging Resource (HSR) and is a current active member of the American Society of Home Stagers and Redesigners (ASHSR), the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) as well as the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA). Marian was thrilled and honored to be nominated as a finalist in the Real Estate Staging Association's (RESA) Home Staging Industry Award for 2011 Rookie Stager of the Year for the Northeast region.
Nancy Crell
Nancy has an ASP Designation from Staged Homes and is the owner of Impressions Home Staging, LLC in Princeton, New Jersey. She has over 25 years experience in the Home Decor Field. She worked as an Art Director on several interior design magazines. Nancy also worked as a Photo Stylist creating catalogs for a Home Decor Company.
Nancy's commitment to design, color and balance can turn any room into a place of beauty. When it comes to furnishings and accessories, she can work with what you have or bring in what you need. If you are getting ready to sell your home, she will bring it up to date while showcasing its finest features, maximizing its appeal to potential buyers. Planning a home make-over, or hosting an elegant dinner party? With her client's needs in mind, she will come up with a design solution to create just the right look with atmosphere and style.
Nancy has an Associate of Arts Degree from Fashion Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree From Thomas Edison State College.
Christine Jacobsen
Creativity comes naturally to Christine. Her keen eye for decorating and terrific sense of color can bring life and harmony to any room. In addition to her artistic abilities, Christine uses practical organizational skills to help her clients with their home management.
A recent graduate of Rider University, Christine received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with special studies in Entrepreneurship. Working as a commercial photographer, she is both artistic and intuitive in getting that perfect look through the eyes of a camera lens.
In this same manner, Christine has a special way with her clients, getting to know their likes and dislikes as she strives to understand what they want to accomplish. Through this, Christine is successful at helping her clients achieve their objectives.
