Returns Policy

We are confident that you will be completely happy with your order, as we offer only high quality products at very reasonable prices.  However, if you are dissatisfied with your purchase, we will try to make the return process as easy as possible.  If you wish to return an item for an exchange or a refund, you will need to request a return authorization code.  In the unlikely event that the items you purchased are damaged or defective, you may return the unused items in the original packaging for a replacement once the return has been authorized and approved.
 
To request a return authorization code, please complete the return request form in the "My Account" section in the right column (or email us at info@distinctivedecoranddesign.com ) with your order number and reason for return within 3-5 days of your package delivery.  You will then be notified if the return is approved and provided instructions on how to return the item(s).  Most items will need to be shipped back to the manufacturer.  Please do not mail the merchandise to our Dayton, NJ address without authorization to do so or the package will not be accepted and will be returned back to you.
 
All shipping and handling charges are non-refundable except in the event the item is defective or the wrong item was delivered.  Return shipping charges are the customer's expense except when the product is damaged, defective or the company* has made an error.  Please note there may be a 15-30% restocking fee (depending on manufacturer) deducted from your refund, and any discount coupons that may have been applied.  Seasonal items are not returnable.  Gift certifcates are non-refundable.  You will be notified of any deductions upon receiving the return authorization code.   Approved refunds will be promptly applied to your credit card once the merchandise is returned in proper condition within 30 days of purchase date.
